Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be a UW student to join?
Yes, you must be a UW student but you may join from ANY UW campus!
Do I need prior skating experience to join?
Nope! No experience needed to join the recreational team but skaters must have a waltz through loop jump + scratch and back scratch spins OR know the preliminary pattern dances to join the competition team.
Where are practices held?
Our collegiate sessions are held at Kraken Community Iceplex.
Do I need a car to go to practices?
Nope! You can take the Lightrail, which is free for students, to the Northgate stop and walk to the ice rink!
When are practices?
Currently our collegiate practices are one hour long on Monday, Thursday and Friday.
